Can anyone tell me if there are any projects in the Nottingham area? My partner has worked in gardening for over 30 years, being self employed and as a plant manager in several well established garden centres. He has always wanted to work on a project like the one Monty is involved with, and would have a real (personal) understanding of what people are going through, making it all the more important to help people turn their lives around for the better. This programme has really moved him, and he is keen to find out about any projects locally that he could get involved with. Does anyone out there know of any?
Hi Kat I haven,t seen the programme but started reading the book (a Christmas present) at lunchtime and couldn't put it down until I finished it a few minutes ago. I was very moved by the book and also want to be involved with something along similar lines here in Nottingham. I am not aware of any such scheme but if the are none why can't a group of similarly motivated people start their own project? So if anyone reading this is working in or involved with drug services, Primary Care Trusts, Mental Health Serives, Social Services, Probation Service, allotment schemes etc and feels moved to take some really positive action at a local level put your hands up and lets see what we can do! There are no gardening projects in Nottingham that are specifically dedicated to recovering drug users. However there are quite a few community gardening projects some of them quite inspirational. Alison Ducker runs the Bulwell Hall Community Garden. You could type those key words into Google and make contact that way or maybe cut and paste this reference:
There is a vibrant group of drug-service users in Nottingham, they are currently designing their own "day-programme" I don't know if they would be interested in gardening but I will find out. Maybe your partner could meet them to explore ideas?
Helen Ross in my office has a pretty good overview of what's around. Your partner could phone her on 0115 850 0855
This is the most popular density requested for custom lace front and full lace wigs. It means that the lace front or full lace wig will have light density at the hairline and medium density every where else lace front wigs. While there are many elements that must be taken into account when planning a wedding, it is impossible to overstate the importance of the wedding invitations.
