I have been overwhelmed by the support received from the general public in response to both the tv programmes and the book. I have been approached on numerous occasions by people who have recognised me from the bbc2 series, all without exception have expressed their admiration for the clients working on the project and have sent to each and everyone of them their best wishes for a successful return to normality.
I am loathe to say that we are currently going through a good period with the team because that is always a precursor to something going wrong but we are in fact having a positive and productive period at this time. For those of you that have come to know the individuals by name I am still working with Sam - who has taken a liking to Tamworth pigs and treats the site as a pet centre instead of a farming smallholding, Kate who has improved beyond belief since the operation and is now making attempts to break all known eating records, Tom (described as photgenic by Monty) has returned a much changed individual, Andres is now his usual sparky self trying to out do me in the worst joke of the day competion, Paul a new member who has forgotten more about farming than the rest of us will ever know, Andy B continues to appear with his new hearing aid. 2 more potential recruits will be interviewed in the next few days.
At the moment we are in the process of dismantling the Leominster site and moving much closer to Worcester.
We would all like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Monty for his inspiration, leadership and friendship and to let him know that today we all got absolutely soaking wet but we think our Tamworth boar ended the day with a smile on his face!!!

I am reading this in the freezing dark midnight outside which is the onlyplace I can get reception on my laptop in Oaxaca ( dont even try pronouncing it) in Mexico.
Good on the boar! He is an enormous beast. I look forward to seeing the offspring in 3months 3 weeks and 3 days time.
Good luck with the dismantling. We are driving to Mexico city tomorrow. I think that they have the odd spot of bother with gear and crime there too...

Having seen the TV programme I am in the process of reading the book. What an inspiration this project is. I was wondering how everyone was faring and so it is great to see they are doing well. I was particularly keen to see how Kate and Andres were getting on and it seems they are doing great. Congratulations to everyone involved and I wish all the participants well for the future.
